Dawn Johnston
Dawn Johnston is a Vancouver based artist and a recent graduate of The Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She currently sits on the board of directors at the Helen Pitt Gallery in addition to her role as art director for “Room” magazine. Dawn’s solo and collaborative artistic practice utilizes a variety of materials and mediums to explore notions of empathy and tragedy as well as our intricate emotional
and physical relationships to both objects, and environments. Dawn has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships; the most recent being the Zoe award for Visual arts. She has participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions throughout Vancouver including, “A Refurnished Study” at Access Artist Run Center, curated by Adam Gandy.
